Sarah Murphy, Marriage and Family Therapy Associate
I’m so glad you’re here.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I don’t take lightly the trust it requires.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (KY #291090), working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I was drawn to this work because I genuinely believe in people’s capacity for growth and healing — and that the right therapeutic relationship can make all the difference. I approach this work with care, intention, and deep respect for the complexity of each person’s life.
My work is rooted in a whole-person approach, honoring the deep connection between mind and body and the ways our experiences are both thought and felt. When stress, anxiety, or unresolved experiences become stored in the body, it can be difficult to fully access a sense of self or move forward with clarity. Because of this, I am especially drawn to somatic and body-aware approaches that support deeper, more integrated healing alongside traditional talk therapy.
I integrate evidence-based talk therapy with somatic awareness, helping clients not only understand their patterns but begin to shift them in ways that feel more embodied and lasting. This means we pay attention not just to thoughts and behaviors, but also to the nervous system, emotional responses, and the ways the body holds and processes experience. I also incorporate Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) within an integrative, scope-appropriate approach when clinically indicated.
I approach therapy through a relational and systems lens, with a focus on attachment, family dynamics, and the ways early experiences shape present patterns. Our work together is collaborative, steady, and tailored to what feels safe and effective for you.

Focus
My style is thoughtful, engaged, and grounded in both care and intention. I value depth, but also clarity, helping you make sense of your experiences while building the capacity to respond differently over time. Healing becomes possible when individuals feel safe, seen, and supported, and I strive to create that space for every client I work with.
I work with children, adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families to overcome whatever obstacles stand between them and a life of greater emotional health, connection, and wholeness.
- Anxiety and chronic stress in children and adults
- Grief and loss, including chronic illness-related grief
- Life transitions and emotional overwhelm
- Couples counseling and relational work
- Children, adolescents, and parent-child relationships
My goal is to create a space that feels supportive, intentional, and meaningful — where lasting change can take place.
